Our names are Holly and Laura and we are located in the South Carolina Low Country. With our years of animal shelter experience and passion for homeless animals, we came together to start a foster-based animal rescue. We sensed the need and value of a true home environment to help ease the transition toward adoption. This would also provide animals with a loving foster family – some of them experiencing the sense of home for the first time.

With these intentions in mind, Salty Dogs Senior Animal Rescue was formed! We are a 501(c)(3) funded solely by the generosity of the community through donations and support. Salty Dogs’ goals are to help rehome older animals, provide information to the community on the care of their senior pets, and assist in including their pets in estate plans. We are thrilled at the enthusiasm and support our venture has already received and look forward to the many furry lives we will affect. Remember, “age is just a number"!
