Our Story
Greetings from Holly and Laura! Nestled in the heart of the South Carolina Low Country, we combined our past animal shelter experience and passion for helping homeless animals to create a foster-based rescue. Recognizing the need for a true home environment to ease the transition towards adoption, we established Salty Dogs Senior Animal Rescue.
Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit is dedicated to rehoming senior dogs, providing loving foster families, and educating the community on the care of older pets. Additionally, we assist pet owners in including their furry companions in estate plans. Funded solely by community donations and support, we are thrilled with the enthusiasm our venture has received.
